![]() ![]() The title page starts simply where Harry, the protagonist in a fantasy world of talking animals, explains the two ways the book can be used. This is one of the best designed interactive children's books I've ever seen, and time was taken to get every small detail absolutely right. But first, let's take a look at this excellent app. It was released for iOS on October third, but it's really 18 years old. So something with a wider dispersion and longer throw, powered, with frequency response down in the 40-50hz range.Just in time for Halloween, Harry and the Haunted House is definitely high on my all time top ten list of favorites. ![]() Near-field studio monitors will fit this bill, but how often is a haunt patron "near-field" in the attraction? Basically never. My ideal speaker is something that has decent low-frequency output in a somewhat compact form factor. Powered speakers are huge and heavy as well and often run into the several hundreds of dollars per unit. 12v/24v amps have an appreciable cost-to-performance ratio, but at higher volumes they begin to show their limitations and distort badly. Getting a higher wattge per channel usually means fewer channels on each amp and the cost begins to go up fast. Multi-channel amps are heavy and cumbersome (one fell out of my car and onto the pavement during a convention last year.the amp was fine, but it put a hole in my car near the bottom of the doorstep on the way down) and typically deliver very little wattage to each speaker. Frankly, I'm just tired of running amps and speaker wire. I've spent the last few years investing in semi-professional/contractor-grade passive speakers - the kind you see in theme parks, mostly from the JBL Control line. I'd say it's my "thing" moreso than decorating or creating props. I pride myself on my haunt audio and lighting. ![]()
